The first project meeting of the iMMunocell project was held in Clínica Universidad de Navarra i Madrid on the 26/10/2018. The attendees to that meeting were the coordinators of the project, Dr Jesús San Miguel and Bruno Paiva from Clínica, with Eloy Robles and Sara Rodríguez, part of their team. Also attended Dr Aldo Roccaro and Marcho Chiarini from ASST Spedali Civili di Brescia (Italy), Marc Raab and Niels Weinhold from the University Hospital Heidelberg (Germany) and JIll Corre, François Vergez and Marie-Laure Nicolau-Travers, from the Institut Universitaire du Cancer de Toulouse (France).

The project coordinator, Dr Jesús San Miguel, welcomed all attendees and gave a brief talk entitled “The importance of early detection and intervention in multiple myeloma”, focusing the main goal of the project and stressing out that the current project constitutes a unique opportunity to collaborate and means a significant benefit for multiple myeloma patients. Other participants gave talks sharing their expertise ad talked about the possible strengths of each group and how they can collaborate.

In the scientific discussion and implementation of the iMMunocell project, Bruno Paiva presented the different aims stated in the project proposal and the partners agreed in relevant matters of the project related to the implementation of the project. Finally, Eloy Robles presented some administrative issues that the partners should notice.
