The facility has two automated optical microscopes which can be used to obtain mosaic images, random image captures from inside a tissue section, Z-axis optical-section images, automatic acquisition of up to six fluorescence channels, etc.

Confocal Scanning Microscopy
Confocal microscopy makes it possible to obtain images with better vertical and horizontal resolution and, in particular, it enables us to obtain optical sections of the sample so it can be studied in three dimensions.
Confocal Spinning Disk
The facility has two in vivo confocal microscopy units (spinning disk), which makes it possible to observe phenomena in living cells over long periods of time (incubation chamber and reduced phototoxicity), and experiments that occur rapidly combined with image acquisition using confocal laser technology.
